Transporting audiences to a small village across the sea, Once on This Island tells the tale of love and culture. After a terrible storm, Ti Moune, a loving and fearless peasant girl is left caring for an ailing but wealthy boy Daniel Beauxhomme. While their cultures divide them and the island as well, their love transcends the divide. When he is set to return to the other side of the island however, Ti Moune must set out to reunite with her beloved as she’s guided by the gods of the island. Everything is not as it seems however as the duties of Daniel take him away from his true feelings and back to the politics of the island. The story brings the vibrant culture and sounds of the Caribbean to the stage.
